Lausanne, Switzerland; March 2011: Adriana has been invited by the Association Romande Des Logopedistes Diplomes, in Lausanne Switzerland, to be the sole presenter of a two day workshop on treating the young child at risk for stuttering.
Past Workshops
Italy; April 2010: Adriana was the sole presenter for a two-day conference on pediatric stuttering in Ragusa, Italy on April 8th and 9th, 2010. She was invited by the Department of Public Health for the Province of Ragusa, Italy to present this conference.
Florida; January 2010: Adriana spoke at the 2010 American Speech Language Hearing Association’s Special Interest Division 4 Leadership/Clinical Conference in Tampa Florida on January 30, 2010. Her session was entitled Treating the Young Child at Risk for Stuttering. This conference is for Speech Language Pathologists who either have an interest or specialize in fluency.
Boston; June 2009: Adriana was an invited speaker at The Eastern Workshop: Treating Children Who Stutter Co-sponsored by The Stuttering Foundation of America and Boston University.
The Netherlands; March 2008: Adriana and her colleagues Nancy Taylor and Catherine Montgomery presented a 2 day workshop on Integrated Fluency Therapy to fluency specialists in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Switzerland; March 2008: They also presented another 2 day workshop to Speech Language Pathologists in Lausanne, Switzerland on the same topic.

Adriana Awarded Ragusani nel Mondo Award
On August 31, 2008 Adriana had the pleasure of receiving an award from the Italian government in Sicily called Ragusani nel Mondo. Each year, since 1994, the award is given to a select few from around the world who have distinguished themselves in their chosen fields and who have roots in the Sicilian province of Ragusa. Her fellow honorees included an entrepreneur from Belgium, a cardiologist from Venezuela, a pianist from Italy, a Somalia based volunteer aid worker from Italy, and a top fashion model from Paraguay.
Adriana, who was born in the Sicilian town of Vittoria, Italy, was delighted to return “home” and honored to be one of the recipients of the 14th Ragusani nel Mondo award for her work with people who stutter.
